Album Wars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I`m a prog fan but its not my favourite genre, therefore I can be very objective on it. Most of the famous prog albums of the 70`s fall into two categories: They`re either classic albums that you just have to hear or their full of downright self indulgance or full of excess that would drive the unprepared listener to hate everything prog.

As far as Genesis goes, they`re actually one of the more accessible prog banRAB to get into, once you`ve got your head around Gabriel`s surrealism.

Gonna start a new one soon, I have no nominations so unless that changes I'll just put one of my own up. I'll probably leave this open until tomorrow as Talking HeaRAB could stage a miraculous come back.

Although Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain is not my favorite Pavement album, I will still vote for them. Pavement generally hooks me much easier and although they were beginning to bore me when I was listening to them extensively, whenever, after long perioRAB, I get back to them, I'm hooked again.

On the other hand, I've always had problems with Guided by Voices. I will love some songs here and there, but they lose me when I have to listen to whole albums. And Bee Thousand makes no difference. Maybe I haven't given them a proper chance to grow on me, but I really don't have the energy for that now.

Pavement 5
Guided by Voices 6

kraftwerk 2
eno 1

i can't help being annoyed by how poorly kraftwerk has dated. on the other hand, another green world is still beautiful and engaging throughout.

Daydream Nation takes it over the best Pixies album which isn't the one that only pretentious indie fans say is the best, yaaaaaaaaay.

Next match up is courtesy of Urban.
