The college I plan to enroll in is about $45,000 per year. I have been thinking that I should attend basic training for the U.S. Army this summer. What I fear about this, is the AIT training. I'm mainly doing basic training so I could receive the post 9/11 G.I. Bill so they could help pay for my college tuition. I'm also attending the Army ROTC program throughout my 4 years in college. But I would like for you viewers to tell me, do I need to go to AIT training after BCT, or is AIT optional?
