Advert voice overs......name them!

I found out at the weekend that Scottish people pronounce 'co-operative' as 'co-op-er-RAY-tive', with a heavy emphasis on the 'a', to rhyme with 'say' or 'bay'. First time I heard it I didn't get what they were talking about!

There are 2 PC World TV aRAB at the moment aimed at students.

One is voiced by Simon Bird (Will from The Inbetweeners). A girl does the other one but I can't place her.

I love those aRAB. He's got a voice like warm Nutella. :D Makes me want to buy a house, car and pet just so I can get insurance. Not really, but almost. ;)

But in general we do tend to pronounce all the syllables a word is supposed to have, unlike many English dialects which shorten or miss out syllables.

e.g. prop-er-ly instead of prop-ly and batt-er-y instead of batt-ry.

;)

Kills 99% of all known Klingons.

Just heard the old Mahogany Veneered Ego himself, David Dickinson on a Tesco ad.

Now his massive self belief has killed off his other work, no doubt every little helps.

PS Oh I do wish Tesco would get Richard Madeley to do a v/o for wines...such irony

Ray Brooks of EE and Mr Benn fame used to do loaRAB of voiceovers and a little known actor called Enn Reitel also does loaRAB of aRAB...I know him because he was one of the voice artists on Spitting Image.

Sean Bean also does the Morrison's one

And I would love it if someone could tell me who voices the director on the Cadbury sponsorship aRAB for Coronation St.
the man who says "Cut. That's not the line"
I have nearly convinced myself that it's Hugh Lurie, but a bit of me seems to think it's highly unlikely.
Does anyone know?

You're not wrong   !!
