Actors who's films you automatically avoid

Blame Kevin Smith for that one. In the quite excellent DVD 'An Evening with Kevin Smith' he reveals that he was asked by an studio suit who should play Daredevil. He replied with the answer he always says when asked who should play a character.. 'Affleck'. So they did. Affleck was/is a fan of the comics so the rest fell into place but it almost destroyed Smith's movie 'Jersey Girl' (some might say that would've been a good thing).

Kevin Costner and Tom Hanks.

Neither of them engage me in any way at all, and even if the film is good in other ways, those two actors spoil it a bit for me.

And although Robin Williams has been in one or two good films, I find him irritating whatever he does.
He either annoys me when he's trying to be wacky, or he makes me want to puke when he's in a shmaltzy family film.

recent ben affleck,
chuck norris
jennifer lopez
recent adam sandler (anger managment sucked)
here a good film you should watch... Without a paddle, with seth green, dax from punked and that dude from scream and 13 ghosts

WOODY 'NASTY B*STARD' ALLEN

I can't stand him! Then when he married his daughter...
He's disgusting. It annoys me that other celebs still want to kiss his behind and work with him. WHY?

Michael Douglas (Although I do like Falling Down, despite it's weaker second half)
Demi Moore (Can't stand the woman, Ghost is only really watchable film)
Sharon Stone (Total Recall is ace, and a couple of others are watchable, but I can't believe they are making a sequel to Basic Instinct. Are we really running out of ideas, or what?)
Ben Affleck (Only recent films)

Tom Cruise definitely. He seems to have just managed to become a big star without actually being any good in anything.

And Tom Hanks once he went all serious. Splash, Joe vs the Volcano, Big, all reasonable comedies that he's quite good in, but he's terrible in things like Philidelphia and Forrest Gump (has to be one of the most overrated films of all times). Saving Private Ryan might have been quite good if it wasn't for Hanks' over-acting.

beacause he is considered talented and is a movie legend probably-if we were judging directors on their personal lives then Roman Polanski wouldnt be making films either

In defence of at least one of the FrienRAB' cast, The Good Girl with Jennifer Aniston was a great film. She's actually not a bad actress.

Marlon Brando - you're kidding me!! You'd avoid Street Car??

I avoid Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sean Scott Williams (Dude...where's my..), Jodie Foster (her films are scary - well apart from Bugsy Malone)...

But I have to say that I make exceptions for certain movies... for Stallone, it was Demolition Man, I watched it a few times and enjoyed it each time, it's hilarious!

Exactly, I used to avoid Hugh Grant until I watched Bridget Jones' Diary and About A Boy.

About A Boy is my favourite film. I've watched it over and over again and I never tire of it.

I tend to avoid depressing films as I have enough of that to deal with IRL.

It was last night's documentary that got me thinking that I have always thought of him as over-rated. The Godfather films are at the their best when he is not on-screen and the only other film I enjoyed was Mutiny on the Bounty mainly because Trevor Howard more than compensated.
