I have the Active duty MGIB and I am in the guard currently. When I enlisted into the guard in Florida, I was given 100% tuition assistance and a kicker. Am I able to use both at the same time or only one at a time. And how do I apply for the guards' tuition assistance and kicker? If you know rates for both that would be appreciated.

You can use both AD GI Bill and Kicker at the same time as well as your tuition assistance. TA is a state-funded program so it depends on what state you are from as to how much they pay. Some states pay based on amount of applicants each semester while some states waive 100% of the tuition for anyone in the NG in that state. If your contract says 100%, more than likely your tuition will be waived. Here in Kansas, they paid about 90% each semester because they based it on state-wide applicants each semester. GI Bill Kicker is $350 still I believe(was 2 years ago when I last used it).

Pretty awesome going to school with all this money, isnt it? I miss the hell out of it now that I have graduated. Good luck.
