Two quick things, if you can spare the time (please):
1. TealMover allows you to CHANGE the amount of dynamic stack requested by an application. If people were to INCREASE the amount from the default 3300 (or whatever AcidImage requests) to something near DOUBLE that, would it eliminate their problems?
2. YOU HAVE THE BEST VIEWER. PERIOD. But it's very expensive at $50. You may have seen, and I invite you to read it if you haven't, the raging rant I have going against Iambic's Agendus. I would like to ask you YOUR thoughts as a developer regarding upgrades for AcidImage. How long are upgrades available?
While you may not want to comment on another developer (God, I wish you would) do YOU think it's fair to be charged constantly for upgrades when fixes aren't being made to CURRENT versions? How would Red-Mercury handle, say, a bug in AcidImage? Apparently by FIXING it with betas . . . I'm curious when the "upgrade $$" would be required. Any thoughts would be most appreciated. An awful lot of us here don't mind spending the $$$, as long as it's not a constant "come-on" for more cash and frankly don't want to be stung again! Perhaps you could give us some insight as to how AI handles problems, upgrades and customer service.
Also, would you ever consider LINKING contact photos to the address book? Agendus takes up 62k of RAM to tie ONE photo from DCIM to a contact - 20 photos (and poor quality, small thumbnails at that) would cost you over !MB of RAM just to LINK them. If there was a way to link photos to the address book I dare say a lot of people here would send you the $$ TODAY, as it would solve two problems - having a great "drag-image" viewer AND contact linking to images.
Thanks in advance, and special thanks for posting here. It's nice to see ONE developer who actually cares. Cheers.
