I was reading an answer that talked about the 40 year grace period for humans and jinn where God forgives their bad deeds, detailed in Surah 46.
My question is:
Approximately how long was the life span of someone living in 6th century Arabia? My friend, a Middle East Studies major in university told me that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) did in fact live to be much older than that, but what about the average person in his time? Even 200 years ago most people didn't make it to 40.
So did most people who died before age 40 get their sins forgiven automatically?
Hi Ankaboot, it is 46:15
