A pop culture definition of the term "Snogging"?

The term always indicated to me making out. this was recently supported by the 6th Harry Potter novel. I was watching a re-run of an Absolutely Fabulous episode and it clearly indicated that Patsy used it as a euphemism for intercourse. Is this just "patsy being patsy" or is there a darker underground use of the term?

"Snogging" is "kissing, making out, swapping spit, sucking face" etc., per Elizabethan English slang.

ADD: According to Moore (who is a writer who does his research) "bonking" is one term for intercourse. There are many more, as Moore writes them all. "Shagging" etc.
The footnotes are plentiful in this book; hilarious and accurate.

it just means kissing with tongues
i'm guessing you're not from the U.K.
it is very commonly used here

Snogging is making out, with or without tongue. There is no darker underground use of the term that I am aware of.
