A place in Slovakia

The budget for show's like this must be small, so do they get paid or is it just for thier ego or maybe a bit of publicity.
They never get any help from the production crew and they don't do much to help thier images
So why do they do it ?

Yes I think you are right. A close echo to 'A Place in Spain's' Lee, who has also been married several times over - although I seem to remember Cheryl hasn't fully commited yet, bearing in mind the surname difference.

These two are completely deluded.

They bought a house that's falling apart, without surveys or anything, paid in cash and used a bloke she met in the swimming pool and a waiter as go-betweens!

Who is going to come and stay with them?

They must be rich and stupid.

Not to mention the fact that she is a complete sterotype of a brit abroad. i.e. Talks slow and broken english to the locals!

The way it is filmed makes me wonder how much of it isn't directed by the producer!

I think he loves her. I'm not convinced she loves him. She is like one of those very irritating child-women who make certain men go all gooey and protective, although in fact they (the women) are hard as nails.

They said today that they'd sold a 6 bedroom house in Essex, so, yeah, I guess they must be rich. My 10 year old son said today that they're the most ridiculous people he's ever seen, which about sums it up for me. Though I did feel a bit sorry for them when they realised that half their furniture was missing and that some stuff had obviously been nicked.

I don't know how long this series has been running - I only came across it last week, but I'm definitely hooked :o

A quick google of 'david ann slovakia' brings up a hit of a website that David is posting on so you can ask him questions directly.

He's been asked on that message board how the show finishes and if they get the chateau up and running but he remains coy and tells us to keep watching which I, for one, will be doing.
