Should Conservatives be included in this question?
And do you vote for a person or mainly just against Democrats ?
Would you vote for a third party ?
As a Democrat I actually voted for Ross Perot for example .

I also voted for ross once. Conservative.

I didnt vote for either McCain nor Obama in the last election. I voted for everything else.

Republican is what I was at birth; America, freedom, liberty.... I've always been a stout individualist, I trust me.

But I've always lived around true democrats, so I can relate to them and understand why they believe what they do. But I can also see that we're different, as they can see I'm different from them.

You are who you are because of genetics; to think you can change that is delusional at best.

I live in California, and in 2008 a bunch of Republicans sided with Democrats, and passed the largest tax increase in US history

I voted each and every Republican traitor out of office in the next election

funny thing is, this time the California Republicans told the Democrats to pound sand on their new tax increase - and Jerry Brown is in a tizzy

Its wonderful

It seems like they think their politicians can do no wrong.Even when they are caught with their pants down like Craig or Foley!

BTW---Gave you a star cause I voted for Ross that year too!

It really depends on the candidate. But in the last 8-10 elections, I voted Republican.

And back in the 1980's I was a delegate in the democratic party, and all I saw was lies and power-play's even with fellow democrat's, that's why I became a republican.

I am no longer a republican; however, I was once a registered republican and I can tell you that I did not vote party lines. Particularly in local elections. In general - I think democrats do better at a local level and republicans do better at a national level. But I am a big "States Rights" advocate and a Constitutionalists. Last democrat I voted for was Gabby Gifford. She is good people. I also would have voted Liberman over Bush.

I am always nervous when one party has all the power regardless of which party it is.

Just curious - I noticed you said I voted for Ross Perot. Is that the only republican you have ever voted for? Now I am wondering if most democrats vote party lines? I don't think I have ever voted across the board for a party. I definitely vote for the person as much as possible anyway
