L Lover not a Fighter Guest Mar 19, 2009 #2 Watt is measured (or calculated) by Watt = Volt x Amp So Watt = 12v x 90 amp = 1080 watt MAX. That 1080 has to do everything (headlights, charge batteries, run the engine, etc.). So no you need to upgrade your alternator. Good Luck...
