I loved the Oscars, Hugh Jackman's opening number of the recap of all the movies this year was superb! Such clever lyrics! I agree with carly-hope, I loved Angelina's earrings and ring, green is such a great colour on her!
Couldn't believe how well Slumdog Millionaire did, so happy for them!

Word! :high_five:

He really was. :sigh:

I was thinking the same thing...that must've been hard for her.

Again, WORD! :in_love:

I just finished watching Hugh's opening number again....his 'I'm Wolverine' was the best ending! :thud:

what a shocker! Slumdog won!!

I was hoping for at least one surprising moment......I guess not.

I didn't think TDK would get a Best Picture Nom, it's too much of a Blockbuster. But, it was admirable of them to nominate Heath. Especially on the anniversary of his death.

Dude, how can Leo get snubbed for RR? Seriously?! I just don't get it.

Word! :high_five:

I did...I completely lost it. It started when Kevin Kline started praising him, actually.

I was so pleased for Kate. Although tbh I think it would have been a huge shock if she hadn't won, especially after all the awards she has won at other award shows which contain a lot of the same voters. I really liked the new way of presenting the big awards too, I thought it was a nice touch and hopefully they will keep it.

I thought Hugh did a great job presenting. I also really liked Jennifer Aniston/Jack Black presenting.

It was great to see Heath Ledger win his award, it's just so tragic that he wasn't able to accept the award himself, I think everyone was rather emotional when his family went up to collect the award on his behalf.

I was another who was shocked to see Sean Penn win, not that it was a bad shock though as I think he is amazing but I did think Miickey Rourke would get it, particularly after picking up the Bafta award just the other week.

And it was great to see Slumdog do so well.

i am saddened that The Dark Knight was not even nominated for adapted screenplay....

And Aronofsky and/or Nolan for director. This is so sad :( I am glad though that Slumdog Millionaire got a lot of nominations but I have a feeling that since The Curious Case is quite the favorite, it will garner most of the awards.

What a sad day for me.

I'm kind of pissed that Anna hatheway didnt win best supporting. I thought she was amazing in Rachael getting married!!!!

I was excited that they got all the little kids to come! And I loved that they had them all come up on stage when the film won Best Picture! They were all so friggin' cute! :D

I guess I will be the first. I am disappointed that "The Dark Knight" for Best Picture nor did Christopher Nolan" for Best Director. Very happy for Heath Ledger and I hope he wins his award. Very pleased Mickey Rourke got his nomination too.

So glad Kate won :D

Hugh did well, i thought Zanessa and Domanda performance was weak - Hugh and Beyonce were great
