800rms amp or 1000rms amp?????that is the question?

i just want to know if i should run an amp to my subs that are 1000rms max with an 800rms amp at 1 ohm or a 1000rms amp at 1ohm? which would i be better off with trying to get the longest life out of my subs and best overall sound quality?
