So far this year I have put 7,600 miles on my 2010 Ultra Classic. On the first big trip to Key West I was getting close to empty and would only be able to put in about 4 gallons at the most.
The last trip to Sturgis I pulled into Wall S.D. with the low fuel light on for about 15 miles. The tank took 4.77 gallons to fill.
I'm beginning to think that the true capacity of the tank is 5 gallons. It does not fill very full with the center location of the cap and I don't think that it can draw out all of the fuel.
What is your experience with the tank capacity?
My mileage was from 41 to 45 mpg. Yeah, we were pushing hard. I was always trying to catch my sons. They fail to understand those little signs along the road called "Speed Limit".
