5.6 mA reading on my normal bread toaster. What is the amp reading, .0056?

I am using a Radio Shack digital Multimeter. I am using the amp clamp with the plug adapter to plug the toaster into and then read one line from the adapter. I cannot get a reading when the mm is set to amps so it says to switch to mA and there I get the 5.6 mA reading. the slider switch on the mm is set at 200mA. (this is where it has to be to get a reading. I thought I should be getting a reading of around 12.5 amps since voltage is 120 and watts are 1500.
