I agree. 5D's rarely makes it past the 0.8 mark, so I was quite happy to see that it actually went a bit higher than that. I'm surprised that Sonic X didn't perform as strongly as it normally does, but most of the airings reached the 0.8 mark. The repeats of DBZ Kai and Yu-Gi-Oh! did really well too.
I'm actually not that happy about this turn of events for a couple of reasons that I already mentioned in the thread in the anime boards, but I'll mention it here as well. Even though they have acquired the rights to the rest of 5D's, I'm worried that they'll stop dubbing 5D's to focus on Zexal in order to save money, similar to what they did with GX when they started to work on 5D's. They might be close to finishing 5D's since I'm guessing that they're around twenty or so episodes ahead of where the Toonzai airings currently are, but I'm just worried that they'll pull another GX situation with leaving the series' dub incomplete. Given the claims we have heard from TV Tokyo/NAS, as well as the amount of money they owe other companies like TPCI, it really doesn't look good for 4Kids in terms of keeping the Yu-Gi-Oh! license. While they're probably doing this to make it look like they aren't guilty by continuing to work on new episodes and to make Konami happy with promoting the newest cards, it does make me think that 4Kids is wasting what money they do have on dubbing episodes that they may not be able to air, let alone finish the whole series, depending on the outcome of this trial. I also was kind of looking forward to seeing Yu-Gi-Oh! dub that didn't have the usual voice actors that work at 4Kids. I do like many of their voice actors, but I was pretty interested in how another company would handle the voice cast for Zexal. Though, if this doesn't negatively affect 5D's, I probably won't be too upset, but I still can't help but think that 4Kids is wasting away their money by working on this show.
