Well, I guess you got to give them credit for staying cool. Even though the fate of the company is on the line, they're not letting the lawsuit affect their scheduling or other day-to-day actions (dubbing 5D's, adding more shows to Toonzaki). Almost makes you feel like 4Kids isn't worried at all.

I've heard about this series and I believe it was mentioned in the last 4Kids thread. Interestingly enough, it's a collaboration between Akira Ito, the creator of the Yu-Gi-Oh! R manga, and Satoshi Nakamura, the original technical advisor for Duel Masters, which would explain why the designs for the human and monsters on that website give off a Yu-Gi-Oh! meets Duel Masters vibe. I think that 4Kids has a pretty good chance of picking it up since it's right up their alley with focusing on cards and monsters. It might not be a sure thing like I think Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal is, given how Yu-Gi-Oh! is pretty much the only successful animated property they have that still turns out new material, and they didn't acquire that Mix Master series, but I think that there's still a pretty good chance that they could pick it up.

Well, one thing to set it apart from other shows like this is how they use logic. I remember in one episode (this is a minor spoiler and doesn't give away any major plot detail)
Yet I remember a similar scene in Pok?mon where characters climbed a snowy mountain and were fine... no air loss, no frostbite, no nothing (and Misty in short shorts). That's what makes Magi-Nation stand out among other shows like that.

Well, that's just stupid of my affiliate to do that. Just so you know, this is NOT the first time my CW affiliate has done such stuff. They pre-empted the original airing of Turtles Forever, along with the episode of Kamen rider that followed it, and this past November when they pre-empted The November 20th episodes of Dragon Ball Z Kai and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. I even asked The CW itself to have KCWI not pre-empt any portion of Toonzai again, but never heard back from them.

Can't say I'm worried or sad but, very surprised, his talk things like saying children don't read and decisions have pretty much ruined the company, I truly now want 4kids to be able to get back on their feet, I hope that who ever comes to take over makes better decisions. But, this is such a shock.
I actually e-mailed them about this back when it first happened.
This is what I said:

I have a friend that lives in your affiliate area. When I was talking to him recently, he seemed very upset that you had to keep pre-empting the end of the Toonzai block. It was mainly the episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.
The problem that we're having is that some weeks, you don't air the episodes at all (this week for example).
It also seems like you don't inform people on when pre-empting will take place.
We've noticed that past episodes have been force to air very early, around 5 AM, the next morning. It seems that you also don't inform people that the episodes will air at that time either.
I'm asking, in a nice way, could you try to inform people when you will cut portion/s of the block and when you will air the episodes? Another idea is air the episodes after the event or to at least air them, at a more reasonable time.
I know you have rules to follow, but I just want to post my concern. I know that some other people might like to see the episodes too and I hope you're not upset.

Changing one/two paid programming slots is NOT going to drive you into the ground and it's not like it's a ratings killer. Plus, it's the CW. They're not having the most sports/event coverage out there.
Even NBC, for this weekend's French Open coverage, notifies when Qubo is pre-empted and when it will air. Can't the stations at least have that decency? Even ABC does this when they have to pre-empt their stuff.
I remember back when I learned FOX stations in Memphis and St. Louis pre-empted their blocks to 5 AM-9AM (for paid programming). I sometimes woke up at 4 or 5 and said, "Well, St. Louis/Memphis is airing 4Kids TV right now."

In the future we have our program schedule on our website which you can look at and we feel badly that we have to pre-empt sometimes for special programming...Sorry for the inconvenience...Also if you become a fan on our facebook page you will also get notified on special programming that might affect the shows you watch...Again sorry for the pre-empting and thanks for letting us know your concerns.

The cuts worked pretty well for the most part. Like kuja killer mentioned, they took the recaps and opening themes for the second, third and forth episodes, they didn't take commercial breaks as often as they did with the single episodes, reduced the dialogue in a couple of scenes, but they kept pretty much everything significant. I'm still kind of surprised that they hyped it so much that they'd even change the episode title and air all four episodes at once, but it worked out better than I thought. Plus, I did like how they mentioned it was a celebration for Yu-Gi-Oh!'s first decade of dueling when they came back from a commercial break.

Yeah, but those three networks are on 24/7, 4Kids only has 5 hours a week worth of programming to work with, you would figure that they would...you know...work with it. Nothing like watching the same episodes week after week....after week....after week...after week. Again, 4Kids does it to themselves and they are soley to blame for their own downfall, it's too bad because I really am rooting for them to break loose and go for the gusto, I'd like to see them become profitable and to gain some respect in the industry aside from the 4KDL (4Kids Defense League).

Well having more Sonic X's is just a waste for nothing but repeats. maybe 2 or 1 is ok, but not 3 or more, and they air them too much! so take it a break somehow, or this will be nothing but a Sonic Block with 3 hours of Sonic X, and it's too much!

maybe they're better off just holding onto the 2 series (i think its two. rocket monkeys and tai chi chasers) that they currently have. Order a new season of dragon ball z kai and save it all for the fall. That way they could have 3 new shows on the schedule in the fall. Of course they would have to completely throw away the spring and summer. But maybe the fall numbers would sky rocket...hopefully
