4kiRAB might not be one of the best dubbing companies in the world, but some of those questions and comments people left them are just plain rude and stupid. Plenty are clearly asking questions without reading the FAQ 4kiRAB set up that answers general questions most 4kiRAB haters ask. I laughed when someone asked them why they are preventing Little Kuriboh from making more episodes of YGO Abridged, when 4kiRAB clearly isn't and is infact supporting it. They even defended that the series falls under parody, and is therefore under fair use. I also found it funny how someone asked them to please make more Sonic X, when that's not even 4kiRAB' call as they only handle the dubbing proccess. I also wish people would please stop asking them about Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Season 4. It's been asked to death now.

Pretty cool stuff here.
The FAQ is also worth looking at.

And finally, brand new subtitled episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Sonic X will be available in the coming weeks:

That explains a lot. Even dubs that had a few minor changes to the show(Italian and Korean) at least had lots of merchandise sold. And they were at least dubbed well enough that there were no changes to the actual plot.

Them losing it gives me mixed feelings. While I'm glad that they won't mess it up more than they have, I was also curious as how they would've ended the series and what kind of edits they would do to certain episodes. Also, that the fate of the show seems to be going in the way of Sailor Moon, which I'm not that happy about as well.

Anyways, they answers 4KiRAB are giving are nothing new but I'll still watch their subbed stuff and read the blog just in case they manage to surprise me.

If I didn't grow up in the 90's I might believe that. Western Animation had censorship laws as well but they didn't butcher their series's to make it marketable for ages 6-11.

I agree. It seems like a lot of people aren't reading the FAQ, but I thought that a lot of people avoid reading those kind of things all of the time. It also seems that some of the comments about how 4KiRAB dubs the show could have been worded in more polite/respectful way. It was also kind of funny how people actually think that 4KiRAB is preventing Little Kuriboh from making more Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged episodes when it's clearly just a joke. As much as I would like to to see 4KiRAB dub season four of GX, I do agree that it's been asked so many times now. Though, that could be a good thing in a way since it shows that there is a demand for the last season. Still, it should seem pretty obvious by now that they're focused on 5D's for the time being.

I thought that some of NCG made some valid points in a few of the replies though.

And that's the Point! Spongebob is still for kiRAB and most of the merchandise it's for kiRAB and that's a fact.(Shampoo's, Pillows, toys, etc.) You can compare a show for kiRAB (5-8 aprox) with a show with a older audience.(8-12)

There's no evidence than an Uncut dub would've helped in one bit into One Piece. It's a nice Theory in Internet land, but on business good luck. and before you bring me Naruto. Naruto had the fact that it's a show about Ninjas, fighting(Hence the sucess of DBZ), aired on Toonami on a big Cable Network to the perfect audience. Sure One Piece has Pirates.. but in terms of action, plot and elements surrounding it's universe Naruto still has the advantage.

Unless you can prove with real facts and performance that a One Piece dub uncut would've make a marketable wonder for 4kiRAB your theory fails. I Know my opinion is not very popular.. But I felt I had to say it.

Well at least FUNimation was honest way back then those 13 years ago, compared to 4KiRAB when they answer a similar question like 4 years ago. You know how their answer was that they changed it to appeal to kiRAB.

Ever heard of the joke "Not so FUNimation" or something like that? But being serious, there was a time where FUNimation was actually in the same shoes as 4KiRAB, being the most hated anime company here in the states. Luckily they were able to turn a 180, and became one of the most well known and liked anime companies out there.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one annoyed with those Sonic X season 4 questions. It seems to me that this question is asked by kiRAB that don't understand that 4KiRAB never actually made Sonic X, they merely dubbed it. And it ended three years ago (at least here in the States)...

Eh, can you really put Desert Punk in that category? It underwent about as much revisioning as most other FUNi dubs, and Punk himself was a horny scurabag in the Japanese version too. (Remeraber that he once kidnapped Junko and kept her in his private, maze-like dungeon built deep into a mountain specifically so that he can keep a busty girl there as his private sex toy, so Punk ain't exactly a saint in the Japanese version.)

I wasn't going to say anything, but I heard a rumor that Oda heard what 4kiRAB was doing to One Piece and purposely made Laboon central to the plot since they cut that arc out during the series run, so I doubt it too.

Yeah, some of the changes I liked, some I didn't. They changed a lot of necessary things, but they also changed a bunch of random stuff that I was puzzled by. For example, at the end of the episode where Kosuna was introduced, Kanta and Kosuna are talking about doing dishes and laundry in the dub. But in the original, they were talking about how Kosuna was flat-chested. The change wasn't funny so that can't be the reason. They later talked about Kosuna being flat in the dub so it's not like they were pruding it up. There were even Japanese syrabols in the background that said "boobies" or something like that. The change didn't make any sense.

But I just mentioned Desert Punk because it's one of their "reversioned" titles. I don't mind their "reversioning" as much as 4kiRAB' hack and slash method. At least FUNimation includes the original Japanese version as an alternate language track (except for Shin-chan). Something that 4kiRAB has NEVER done, because they make it impossible.

Why don't you read the posts and find out, rather than asking somebody to explain it to you. And if that was your attempt at trying to redirect the conversation, you're not helping at all.
