I just saw the movie.

I don't even have words. I .. there are no words. I can't even talk.

BEST MOVIE EVER.

I'm NEVER this speechless. Seriously. Holy Moses and Mary Mother of God.
 
I saw this movie last night. I loved the way it was filmed. The coloring was so amazing... Gerard Butler was also amazing as Leonidas, and he's the reason I'll probably buy the dvd.

My only complaint about this film was that it sort of felt like half a movie. Like there was something missing from it.
 
Mel - I love the soundtrack, too! I downloaded it the night after I saw it. So good! I love the track "The Hot Gates." It's an intense song.

Kelly - My friend Lauren who came with me (I basically dragged her) said the movie was exactly everything she hated in movies, but she ended up loving it. And I know how much she normally dislikes movies with gore and violence and blood, but I also know how much she ended up liking it. It's worth giving a shot.

ALSO! I joined the 300 Street Team, and I got an email today saying that it ranked in at #1 in the box office opening weekend, and is the third highest Rated-R movie to hit the box office, behind The Matrix Reloaded and The Passion of the Christ. It also gets the title of the biggest R-Rated movie to ever open in March, ever. In all of cinematic history. :yay: It's done fantastically well!!
 
Ah! I'm so jealous you saw it! It doesn't open here until Friday. Argggg.

And um .. Gerry is one of my VERY top reasons to go see this movie. :lol: He was on the cover of Men's Health and .. the pictures were .. very nice. :drool:

Overview


Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, "300" is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy. The film brings Miller's (Sin City) acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of this ancient historic tale.
 
I just pre-ordered the new cut of Alexander: The Complete Story because 1. i liked Alexander as well and 2. it includes a free ticket to see 300. So I'm getting the best of both worlds :) Oh and 3. there's a ton of extras included with the DVD, from 3.5 hours for the movie to all of the extra footage while making the movie :)

Right now i'm working on a question for the alexander myspace page just to see if Oliver Stone will actually reply :P
 
I went to see the movie last night. It was so much better than I thought it was going to be!
 
This movie looks really good as does Gerard :lol: but yep, will definitely be seeing this one!
