Can be any sort of film .

My 3 are :

Serenity - Fantastic sci-fi film , really good story , funny , and has a hero as cool as Hans Solo :eek:

Oldboy - Blew me away when i first saw this . Best one shot fight scene EVER

Martyrs - Wow , if you want an intelligent Horror then this is a great film.
 
Groundhog Day - a superb comedy with a message and Bill Murray at his best
The Good, The Bad and the Ugly - Clint Eastwood and that awesome music, just brilliant.
Fist of Fury - Bruce's best film overall even though Enter The Dragon is a classic also
 
Gone Baby Gone

Never before have I been so engrossed in a thriller. Fantastic.

Mysterious Skin

If you can stomach the tough subject matter, see it. Makes you think.

The Girl Next Door

Nasty film. Again, a tough subject matter, based on actual events. You'll need a strong stomach for this one, but it's a rewarding experience in the end.
 
Pans Labryinth.

The best film I've ever seen, beautiful, fantastical and completely brutal in equal measure.

Dumb and Dumber.

A joy from start to finish.

Sin City.

Visually stunning with some great action sequences.
 
Das Boot - The best War fim EVAR!

The Godfather - The Best Mafia film EVAR!

Dead Mans Shoes - The best film about a brother getting revenge EVAR!

Huge props also to 12 Angry Men. For a oldie this film rocks! Guess a remake is on the carRAB over the next few years.
