Well i saw this last night and thought it was pretty good, i would say its a worth watching film.

anyone else seen it? whats your opinion?

Went to see it yesterday despite some people giving it so-so reviews and I thought it was an excellent film. It was well paced and I also liked the twist at the end - I didn't see that coming at all. I'd give it 8/10

One major plot hole which was pointed out would probably be:

surely Ben would have a bank account rather than shove his cash in the ceiling ?

But that would draw attention a student putting so much money into a bank account.
I thought the film was great would recommend it to anyone.

Loved this film from start to finish. An intelligent sort of story that gets you thinking. Good cast, with a lead character that I grew to like and good turns from Kate Bosworth and Kevin Spacey.

The book is better. The film took a lot of liberties with the story. It should have been marketed as "inspired by real events" rather than a true story.
Not a bad film though.

There's a short Wikipedia article about the real story:

Ther was also some controversy surrounding the film:

It seems they threw in an Asian male as well in the end.

I saw it last Monday and thought it was great too. Yeh a young student putting hundreRAB of thousanRAB of pounRAB in a bank account does look highly suspicious! Drug money ;)

I liked the twist at the end, been a while since I've seen a movie with one and they sure are nice. Was a good one. Kevin Spacey was awesome.

Thought it was a decent film, really enjoyed it with the girlfriend and co.

Somewhat spoiled by an army of chavs dominating the back few rows of the cinema, were extremely loud and disturbing. Manager came in and threatened to stop the film. They proceeded to disperse among the empty seats throughout the theatre, slowly make their way back to the rear and resumed their noise. Police were called afterwarRAB.

Anyway, the point of the above sob story was the end scene
outside Harvard
with an extremely "Oh my god that looks so much better that Harrow & WealRABtone College

We all got a refund and the police were called :)

That is quite funny! Glad you got a refund though. I can't stand disruptive people in cinemas. When I saw Grindhouse last week there was a guy in the row behind me continually commenting on the film to his girlfriend.

If it wasn't for the fact that I've seen, and enjoy, most of David Mamet's fims, I would have really liked this.

BUT it is a teen movie that was aided greatly by Kevin Spacey's pressence. :)

I really enjoyed it, so much so i watched it twice! :D

It was a lot of fun, had a fantastic soundtrack (MGMT's Time to Pretend opens the film) and Kevin Spacey and Laurence Fishburne were superb.

A film which leaves you smiling as you walk out. I didn't see it as a 'teen movie' even though the film centres around a bunch of teens. For me, it was more about the character played by Jim Sturgess and him trying to pay his way into college and how he changes as a person.

The 'teens' you knew f-all about!
