2012

The characters were interesting enough, especially the "radio guy" charlie who had that unhealthy obsession with the "end of days".

I also liked how they
kept Jackson under the water just long enough to keep us guessing whether he'd make it out alive

I liked the story, what more can I say lol not a classic but an epic. :)

Terrible, terrible, terrible! Worst film I've seen in a long time, a complete and utter waste of three hours of my life!

Wooden and predictable acting, poor and "artificial" looking special effects, and a plotline that was so unbelievable even as disaster movies go. For me a plot has to have some sort of basis in reality but so many of the scenarios were just too far away from credible to have anything but a nonsense effect.

I thought Day After Tomorrow wasn't brilliant but it was a Shakesperean masterpiece compared to this load of tat!

OMG! i loved it!! Much better then the day after tomorrow (which i also liked)

The action and the CGI was amazing!!! the story was good 2 ( far fetched, but what do u expect:P)

and time went so fast! :)

I loved it. Yes it's a little bit thin on development but I didn't find myself caring whether the main characters in Titanic lived or died and that dragged on in its efforts to develop the characters.

The CGI effects are excellent even if the unlikelihood of some of what it depicted was amusing.

I loved it, gotta be best disaster film i've seen in ages, better than The Day After Tommorrow, loved all the plane/limo stuff when the world was literally falling apart around them, very funny in parts, I think one of the kiRAB said something like Gordon can fly and he was like will you stop telling people i can fly planes, basically anything to do with Gordon and flying made me lol, pretty sad in parts too.

It was practically the same story line as War of the WorlRAB - Downbeat Dad, divorced from Mum, Mum has a new BF, kiRAB don't like Dad, Dad saves the day

Yawwn!

They took Giraffes back to Africa?! WTF!?

I enjoyed 2012, it was fun to watch...It went on a bit though...Visually, the destruction of the earth, they show is mindblowing via. CGI effects....probably the best I've seen so far...I might get some disagreement for this, I won't be surprised if 2012 picks up an oscar nomination for its top notch CGI....Imagine, if it was all in 3D, probably would have been even better!....I thought the acting was good, not as bad its been made out to be by reviewers....It was cheesy and cliched in places...nevertheless, it had it a good mix of action/suspense, sadness & comic relief....there was a lack of a storyline to it though...To be honest, when you watch the movie don't take it too seriously, just immerse yourself in it and enjoy the ride, as it is great pure escapism...xo

I'm not a big disaster fan but I freakin' loved it.

Sure it was dumb and just insane how Jackson and his family were like the only ones to survive all that crap but it was still awesome.

Great film. Never a dull moment and it really impressed me!

FGS, some people need to stop taking everything LITERALLY! Lighten up and take it how it's intended.

I laughed my head off, and these days that's a recommendation. Emmerich does a compendium of every disaster film in history including his own, and more besides, it was great fun spotting all the references. Hilarious how the hero keeps escaping the Apocalypse. Great visual gags as well, especially the Queen, and what lanRAB on the White House. Talk about retribution!:p:D

I enjoyed it very much.:D

well thankyou for the sarcasm! :) I didn't expect you to have the same opinion of the film as others and myself, I meant 2012 did fulfill its purpose and that was to entertain, isnt what that most action films are like these days?....xo

I get what your saying, but i'm pretty sure that until it happens no-one knows how real a city breaking in half is going to look like.

For the amount of effects that were used i just thought it was all fantastic. I loved it, very entertaining

2012: 4/5

Fun popcorn film, I enjoyed it and it was fun to watch, moreso than I thought it would be :D Interesting the film taps into our fears about climate change/disasters etc with some spectacular effects, but it was surprisingly funny in places too. :D
Also with the message it senRAB out at the end -
Basically you can survive the end of the world if you are rich, and hey its OK, the planet will sort itself out anyway?

I liked the parts with an Arnie type Governor on TV and also the Russian family :)
I liked how it made me think a bit as well.
