2008-Best of the year

Nick Cave and the Bad SeeRAB - Dig Lazarus Dig
The Mars Volta - Bedlam in Goliath
The Herd - Summerland
Electric President - Electric President

Can't really think of a fifth, I haven't picked up too much music released in 2008, shame on me.

Top 3 (And yes they are all from Sweden):
1. Zeigeist - The Jade Motel
2. Juvelen - 1
3. Firefox AK - If I Were A Melody

Quite liked these as well:
Crystal Castles - S/T
Sons & Daughters - This Gift

Looks like someone's deeply misinformed. 2007 was a banner year for indie music but was woefully impotent in other genres.

For fuck's sake, stop being an argumentative troll.

The point that you accuse me of trolling and have to resort to that kind of language is rather telling. Go through my posts whether recent or old and honestly demonstrate that I'm a troller. Fact is, calling me a troll is easier than having a normal civilized discussion. Pity you insist on going for the easy option.

Now, for one, I wasn't being argumentative in the slightest. I was expressing a simple opinion, namely that the music that came out last year was, in my opinion, substantially better in overall quality and scope than the range of music that came out in 2002 (or any of the first five years of this decade for that matter). It is entirely irrelevant whether it was a good year for one type of music and a bad year for others, or whatever. This is strictly a question of pure quantity of top notch material being released. For me, 2007 wins hanRAB down.

I don't like him either. I was at a festival this summer when he was headlining and left before he went on...royally pissed because all the other acts had to cut their sets short so he could play his in its entirety. Cunt.

Thing is, lucifer_sam was listing albums that he knows were from 2002, in response to another meraber asking what good albums came out that year. ;)

Might as well officially nominate 5 now or I'll never get 'round to it. In no order;

Nick Cave - Dig, Lazarus, Lazaruss
Mercury Rev - Snowflake Midnight
The Week That Was - The Week That Was
Emmylou Harris - All I Intended To Be
Elvis Costello - Momofuku

Somewhere in the middle

Mellow Gold, Mutations, Midnight Vultures, Odelay and Modern Guilt are the other ones I like, Guero is 3rd-6th probably. Didn't like The Information or Sea Change.

Still have them all though, unless there are more I am unaware of

The M's - Real Close Ones
Cloud Cult - Feel Good Ghosts (Tea-Partying Through Tornadoes)
Department Of Eagles - In Ear Park
Submarines - Honeysuckle Weeks
Electric President - Sleep Well

Once you people have heard these albums they will be on your list.

You suck!

I liked, let's see:

Gnarls Barkley - the odd couple

Kitty, Daisy & Lewis - Kitty, Daisy & Lewis (you should check that out! some great swing, blues, country stuff! It makes you move your ass and feet, no doubt!)

The Raconteurs - Consolers of the Lonely (though I'm not sure about the whole album, will have to listen to it more often.. but have you heard "Carolina Drama"? great story telling song)

N.E.R.D. - seeing sounRAB (not as good as the first record, rather similar to the second, but much better!)

Erykah Badu - new amerykah
