2007 MLB Extra Innings on BEV

Yes Sportsnet does a real good job with their baseball coverage. The only thing I don't like is that they will never show another game while the Jays are playing. Can't blame them since they own the team. Having MLB Extra Innings would correct that.

No updates, no annoncement made to the Agents that it would (or not) be offered...

Looks like no Red Sox again today! It was originally scheduled for Sportsnet East but not anymore. This is starting to be frustrating to someone who only got MLB EI for the Red Sox and the changes with Sportsnet are NEVER picked up by BEV!

Am I the only one who finds it weird that, after 5 or 6 years of rumours of catch up to Rogers delivering MLB Extra Innings, when Bell ExpressVu finally "steps up to the plate", they don't bother to announce it with any fanfare?

I have a friend who works for Bell and he tells me that the reps who work in customer service are always the last ones to find out about products being launched! Could he be right again??

I still cannot believe that BEV hasn't added the MLB Extra Innings package. There must be a political/territorial reason for not doing so. I suspect it's the latter. I've been a BEV subscriber for 7+ years now, and like most of their programing options. I've also been impressed that they've added a great deal of coverage for the NFL & Nascar over the past few years. An alternative reason I have considered is that BEV does not want to commit the bandwidth of the several channels worth of baseball, at a time when they're pushing more HD channels, which surely make more money for them.

I ask BEV every year if they plan to carry the MLB EI package, and have been turned down every time. Surely, there are baseball fans in Canada like myself, that do NOT cheer for the Blue Jays, and would like to see their own teams?

The site you refer us to is not an official Bell site...CSR would have had the info at the latest today if such a package was starting tommorow

We had a training on current promotions today and nothing was said about it

The channels already appear in the Bell guide.....I think some people don't read English well.....the deal has obviously already been worked out. Otherwise, the channels would NOT appear in the guide....By the way...Roger's Cable and the whole Toronto area can....BITE ME!!!

sportsnet is great.

I find cogeco to be fantasic for baseball with the supersportspack.
Never missed a tigers game all year!

I imagine sportsnet is going to show quite a few san fran games with bonds going for the record and all.

EDIT: Posted before reading your above response.

Ringmaster:

It is fine to bring up the point that you think that games in Superstation package should be in EI. But to say they aren't available nationally is untrue. All of Canada can get them.

I would have no problem if the games were in MLB EI. I am just saying I can see where EVU is coming from is all. The games are available without EI already.

Yes, you are correct, the games on NHL NETWORK are also currently included in NHLCI. I am glad they are and I hope that never changes. Would I be surprised for that to happen. No, of course not.

As a comparable, games on NBATV are not available in NBALP on any provider in the USA. It wouldn't surprise me to see this happen with NHL Network in the future. I hope it doesn't, but I can see it.

-------

Really the purpose/intent of the sports packages is to provide subscriber with games that they normally can not see without the Sports Package. EVU is following this with EI.

I don't think it is too much to ask for EVU to check SNET online schedule each day for the next day in case there is a change. That takes what 30 seconds?

Also, the Twins at Mets in HD were listed in their schedule on Bev's website for Tues. and Wed. June 19th and 20th, but both games never showed up. They were available in sd.

They missed another Yankee game last Saturday too. (They played a day/night double header, Bell only had the first game on in EI) Game was not on SNET either.

They also missed the SF/MIL game last Saturday from FOX.

That's a done deal now but yep it doesn't affect canada.
In fact, the (outrageous) sports package rates on directv are one of the few things that can be more cheaply bought in canada instead. I have both directv and rogers, and i hate rogers programming except for the fact that the sports package is far cheaper than it is on dtv.

I belive the package will work like NHL Center Ice package...all the games that are on the regular network or TSN and Sportnet will not be on MLB

There was a link to MLB Blackout when they advertised the package to us. I will post the info tommorow when I get back from work (after 6PM)

I am thrilled that BEV now has MLB Extra Innings but I don't understand why some of the games are not on. For example, the past two nights the Red Sox - Angels game is no where to be found. On the information channels, it shows the game on Sportnet West but it is not on there either. What is going on?

^^CALL the tech dep.

when Center Ice screws up thousands of ppl are calling

when Extra Innings screws up only a few call

YOU MUST CALL PEOPLE!!!!

The guide on one of the channels said the Red Sox games was only available on the HD channel.
