2007 MLB Extra Innings on BEV

We always find out a few days ahead of the customers...if we have to sell a product we have to know about it, no?

The channels are not on my guide either...

When you look at the transponder map on Express Vu agent info system, which list all the channel, what number they are and on which trasnponder you don't see it there

If it was comming out, we would have gotten the info and the deal will be done by now, since season will start soon

^^^fanfare??? What fanfare do you want? I don't remember any fanfare for NFL either. I just remember when Bell had the EXCLUSIVE with NHL Center Ice that was HUGE. Damn CRTC ruined that.

The only thing I don't like about the package is if a game is on WPIX/TBS they will not pick up the other teams feed and put it in the package, ie they are forcing you to order the superstations to get every game.

Example:

Mets/Yankees today, WPIX has the Mets coverage, Bell is not picking up YES's Yankee coverage (Also HD Feed lost)

i'm a san fran fan :) and sportsnet shows quite a few of their games 30-40 i think cause being late at nite the jays are generally not playing.

Season will start soon? The season started 2 months ago!

I have a 4100 and 9200 and legit subscribe to EVU and a couple MLB channels were in the guide for a few hours a week or so back. MLB4 and MLB5 were in my guide. There was no video on the channels.

Recentely, there are a lot of glitches on MLBEI on BEV:

-Sunday Boston-Chicago game was shown both on MLBEI(NESN Feed) and WGN
-Todays Toronto-Oakland game is broadcast on MLBEI and Sportsnet
-This saturdays Seattle-Toronto will be shown on MLBEI and CBC

I hope for next season that all the games, except the Blue Jays, will be shown on MLBEI. By the way, is it true that sportsnet TV deal with MLB ends this season?

^^^^3 games were only AVAILABLE on HD????????????

WTF?????????????????????

bull****

I don't freakin have HD

thats horsecrap IMHO

i would understand if more then 60% of the subs had HDTV....but I know thats not true

i guess with NFL Sunday Ticket and there 10 HD games they couldn't fit 3 SD MLB games

To be honest I am not that mad because I was watching Sunday Ticket over Extra Innings:D

I agree, but they do this for hockey as well. I think it is a lack of bandwith available on Nimiq 1. In the USA, both feeeds are available, but cable operators/DirecTV (and formerly Dish Network) have more bandwith to split the feeds up...

EVU never had that HNIC blackout. Rogers had it for one season I believe (two tops) then I guess they decided to pay more money for it. That is the reason why you seen HNIC symbol on some of the NHL CI barker ads.

The Fox window is only for the area that Fox has rights. IE, USA. Not Canada. If you check EVU's EI schedule you will see some games pop up during that time frame including the next three Saturdays.

I just noticed this morning on the online tv listings that non-Blue Jays games are showing up on channels 451-458 (which are the Sunday Ticket channels). I am at work, so I can't check my receivers, but I wonder if this means that perhaps ExpressVu will carry Extra Innings (of course after I have paid for my season subscription to mlb.tv).
I guess I'll find out tonight if I can watch the Tigers on TV instead of the computer.

Don - it looks like Bell will miss a third consecutive game between Boston and LA Angels tonight (Aug 8). I spoke with BEV rep who couldn't get past the fact Rogers isn't showing the game.

What does it take to get through someone's thick skull at Bell that these games are not being broadcast on Rogers?

Yes, they are national channels. NBC's games (and ABC/FOX in the past) shown are all regionally televised, IE, not all games available throughout the entire country. Beginning next season, only one game will be on NBC each week, I wonder if NHLCI will change. I would guess probably not. I bet it still shows up in CI.

Perhaps, Bell paid less to MLB and that is why those games aren't included.

Maybe it is a bandwidth issue. The PQ is soft enough as it is now.

DTV charges 199 plus another 35 for HD games this year for MLBEI.

I guess maybe we get what wepay for. Perhaps Bell should just have charged another 10 or 20 bucks and included the games on the Supers as well.

Well, they only began offering it today. Give them a chance!

It's well advertised in the guide. Anyone who browses the sports section of the guide should see it.

-Mike

The schedule that pops up before games said the Yankees/Rockies was on SNETW (of course it is not). Not sure where they got that bogus info from.

For some reason right before game time they drop the Baltimore/Washington feeds from MASN, guessing they don't have access to the channel yet.

They pulled the Mets HD feed last night too, wish they would atleast replace it w/another game if they can't deliver the scheduled game.
