I have a 2004 kawasaki ninja 250 that is having some speedometer troubles. I know some have opinions about a 250 being a little bike but im not here to debate that i ride because i enjoy riding not to race and be the fastest bike out there so helpful comments only would be appreciated.
The speedometer on this bike isnt working, i have disconnected the cable from the gauge and it doesnt even rotate when the bike is moving.Im guessing its just the cable gone bad but im not sure. I was looking into putting a universal speedometer gauge with built in indicators on it. Seeings how the ninja speedometer cluster looks pretty out of date anyways i figured it would be a alright modification. I have the option of ordering a 2:1 ratio gauge or a 1:1 ratio gauge which would i need or can i even use this on he bike? here's the link to gauge i wanted to put on it if it helps.
the one i have doesnt work the odometer and tach work but the speedometer needle doesnt move
