I bought an 83 kawasaki gpz1100 with 15k miles about a month ago and am having some problems. It has ran rich ever since I got it and the spark plugs were starting to wear out (one quit working which was how I noticed this). I opened up the airbox and it had a pretty decent amount of oil in it and had a soaked k&n air filter. I bought a hiflofiltro filter recommended by the dealer and replaced the spark plugs. This made it run better, but it still ran rich. It has been about 200-300 miles since replacing this and I haven't noticed a decrease in performance, and the airbox doesn't have anymore oil, but my bike still runs rich. The bike computer doesn't report any errors, I am suspecting it may be a faulty sensor but know very little about motorcycles. Any suggestions pinpointing the cause of this problem will be appreciated.
