1200 Watt Car Audio on stock Alternator?

I'm planning on running a Hifonics BXi 1210D amp to power two 12" 600w rms subs.
My car(1987 Camaro V6) has an alternator rated at either 100 or 105 amps.
The fuse on the amp is 80 amps. Will the amp be using right about that as far as amps?
Will I need to upgrade battery and alternator? (if so PLEASE provide links.. preferably in Canada but not limited to)
I am planning on doing the Big 3 upgrade already.
I do not want to spend a fortune, but willing to do the necessities.

1200w isn't a HUGE system on an average size electrical system, but your listening habits will have a lot to do with it.

It's important to understand music has no where near a CONSTANT high current demand.

The 1200w rating is in reference to playing a full volume sine wave -- music, even at full volume requires generally about a third as much current on the average.

I have run an 1100w system with a 75A alt and also a 110A alt. It didn't run smoothly on the 75A, but overall it was acceptable. The 110A had no trouble at all. I'm currently running 1500w rms on a 110A and it runs pretty well.

My advice would be to go ahead and install it. Do the big 3 upgrade.
Pay attention to your car's electrical behavior, especially when you're blasting it.
In the short term I would expect it to run ok.
