10 Singers Who Can't Sing?

No, the centerpiece of the Lips is the exuberance of their sound; the theatricality and borabasticness, the over-the-top arrangements. And although I like the sound of his voice, his actual singing could've been a lot better. Wayne Coyne is just a darn nice guy who's lucky that his band is that good. And of course he fills a part in the band, but in my opinion, he's not as indispensable as, say, Drozd.

By the way, i did see American Idol in different countries, and man, what a beauty...so many good voices out there...we should really bring them here in the US...they would all make fortunes...just go to youtube and type, like "Ukraine got talent", "Turkey got talent"...especially that 12 year old kid impersonating Michael Jackson...i said oh my God! So cool!

I like good singing... no, scratch that, I prefer good song presenters. A singer that can present a given song in the best possible way and a lot of times good technical singing isn't very good at presenting a given song. Ozzy as an example, I've heard good singers cover some of his songs and they absolutely suck balls, awesome when he sings it, but crap on toast by good singers. His unique vocal delivery is perfectly suited to the songs that he sings. Same with Keidis, Tom Waits, Helfield and so on and so forth. Bob Dylan is different for me in that everytime I hear someone else sing his songs I am enthralled but everytime he sings them I hear them as just plain bad songs.

When screamo became popular in metal I couldn't handle it and couldn't listen to it. I still can't listen to that stuff and tend to lump them all in as bad singers but I know a lot of guys who love that stuff and think it works for the songs. How they can differentiate between singers of different banRAB? I still don't understand that.

I don't like oversinging either and I'd appreciate it if they learned restraint, however I'm not the market for the oversingers and that market seems to like that style so if I don't want that market telling me how metal singers should sing (and I don't) then I'm not going to tell that market how those singers should sing.

I agree that Coyne does fill his part in the way that only he can. A singer's voice, to me, is the most important 'instrument' in a band, and therefor, I feel he's the least dispensable.

I love Tom Waits and actually don't think he sounRAB terrible at all. Dylan has done some things that I've liked but overall he doesn't really do it for me.

LOL, agreed. I unfortunately heard a few tracks of his solo stuff...YUCK!!!! I'm also not a giant Stone Roses fan, I do like some of their stuff, but afterawhile, Ian's voice kinda grated on my nerves.
