08 1098 or wait for 09?

Thanks. The 10hp doesn't matter to me. & I'd be keeping either bike stock as far as full pipes & engine mods. Its just a question of initial investment & resale value down the road for me. Before I got married I did a lot of touring and always lusted after the 916. Now my wife doesn't ride so my riding is just the occasional evening & Sunday morning. I know its blasphemy, but my desire for the 1098 (in red) is 90% looks & 10% performance. I want to store it in my living room in the winter so I can stare at it.
 
Yes, I have thought of starting a new thread to this fact. I haven't even stored my bike for the winter yet, but she has already been in the house a couple of times... WARNING: problems with home storage TV's and lady friends my feel neglected.

I guess I hadn't checked the increase in price on the 1198... I would have to say go with the 1098. Your not likely to nice a large difference in that case since HP isn't everything to you. Myself for instance... been a while since I had been riding so I decide just to go with the 848... it's still quite a bit of bike. Plus I knew they was going up another 500 dollars. My was still listed @ the original price when they came out of 12,995.... with no changes for '09 couldn't see buying same bike for a grand more.
 
Been there, done that. I love being able to sit in my easy chair and look over anytime I want and talk to Isabella. My kids think it is weird that I talk to her.
 
Here is my 848 in the house... in the back corner you can see my other Italian beauty, a Bianchi 928. I'm thinking I should dedicate that corner for my girls. Place the 848 in the corner and get a wall mount for the Bianchi.
 
Cblast.... your couch is the same as mine. Didn't notice this the first time I seen pics.... only notice after posting my own.... the pillow is what made me notice. We much have excellent taste Same couches both with Ducs
 
Where do you live Buddy?

I just got a quote literally 5 mins ago from SOCAL DUCATI for $16,495. Below is the exact quote from the email I received from their Sales Manager.

"The bike's have MSRP's of:1198- $16,495 & 1198S- $21,795; So because the Pearl White is a Base your looking at $16,495 plus tax lic ect."

Aren't you guys afraid of the kids bumpin it when they walk by. I also had mine in the house, but only when I epoxied the floors.
