Yes it would show up even if you were on the pill,and you wouldn't get a false positive,that's for sure. The only thing that gives a false positive is possible drugs a woman is on to try to conceive.

Your baby will be fine. It's not going to hurt her. It's something a lot of states mandate at least once or twice in the child's young years. It'll only hurt her for a second,and it honestly seems to be bothering you already more than it will her.

I've never heard of a dr not taking urine specimens,especially if you're having blood pressure issues. I would ask the dr about it,and why he's not taking them. I got them taken at every appointment,even though my blood pressure stayed 100% normal/great even,throughout pregnancy.

I would go get a blood test,and yea,they may be free to someone with insurance, I don't know how much they'd cost for someone w/out insurance.
