YES!!! you should get good snow tires. a miata is expected to be horrible with all seasons because its rwd which is bad in snow. and to make it even worse, its a light car, so it will have less traction when its slippery. snow tires will prevent you from getting stuck, and as you said, sliding...

i don't see that. infact all our cars are toyotas and i wonder the same thing about other people regardless of make. that's just silly to think driving a certain car will make your reaction time to lights slower.

is you mean vehicle stability assist, yes it will still work. the only thing that won't work is your tire preassure monitoring system. and the light might just stay on.

if you do a lot of highway driving, choose the corolla. if mostly city, choose yaris. yaris isn't the best highway car, it has a small engine so the rpms are higher on the highway. also doesn't have as much power as other cars for merging, but you can still survive on the highway with a yaris.
