Hubble constant is H in your equation. Pi and G are constants so ignore them and just toss in a couple of simple values for H and you get your answer (H is lower value if the recession rate is slower)

Astronomy can involve chemistry but it doesn't have to involve a lot. There are only a handful of common molecules and elements in Astronomy but it really depends on what field of Astronomy you want to get in to.

Yes on the most part. Deep Southern Hemisphere will have a limited view. Of course the NH has an upside down view of the constallation :)

If you are looking for aperture then a Dobsonian is the way to go. Don't spend all all your money on aperture though - leave some aside for some quality wide angle EP's.

It depends on how accurate you expect it to be. ie if the sun rises at 6 am and sets at 6pm then when the sun is overhead it will be Noon. If its 1/2 way up then it's 9am etc....
