    You have to format the card in the new camera so that the camera can use it. Download everything that you wish to keep - formatting wipes the card. It will set up the card the way the camera needs it. And a new bigger card would be a good idea.

    beginner in photography so someone told me to ALWAYS keep flash on, is he right?

    In some situations, fill in flash is an excellent idea.....but not "always". It lifts shadows in portraiture but it depends on the flash...the little built-in-the-camera flashes cause as many problems as they solve (even if you can turn down the power). Experiment.

    DSLRs are no faster at capturing things happening than point and shoots. You have to anticipate fast action and as at the point you press the shutter, the viewfinder blacks out on a DSLR, you are better off with a P+S. There are many reasons to buy a DSLR but speed of operation isn't one of them.

    Not DSLR - no mirror, so the reflex doesn't apply. A viewfinder camera? Or electronic viewfinder camera. An EVC... Can I copyright "EVC"?
