    Black and white has been obsolete for about fifty years. The reason it's still alive is 1- It's "arty" 3- It's seen as somehow "true". Think about all the charity adverts that use black and white photos of suffering; they use it for a reason.

    The trouble is that for every raving nutter in Pakistan, there are a thousand normal people who are just getting on with their lives. If we go in all gung ho killing the innocents; we'll alienate everyone and the whole of Pakistan will be against us. (see what happened to America in Vietnam).

    What is a light year?

    It's for measuring very long distances. The moon is nowhere near 8 light years away (it's about 1.25 light seconds away), but if it were; then yes, it would take 8 years for the light bounced off it to reach us.
