Why can't we British just go into Pakistan and destroy Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden

in a week? Why are we? messing around.

we have the bravest best soldiers in the world

Isn't it about time that we give Osama Bin Laden a taste of our British spunk!!!?

What are we waiting for? Why prolong this?
 
Firstly, England already has men deployed there. and deploying more troops into pakistan would only further distabalization in the middle east, and i bet you don't even understand islamic extremists. and if america's entire military couldn't do it in 7 years, i doubt the UK could do it. america has more supplies, weapons, vehicles, and soldiers. and if they have a pull-out strategy, then so should the UK. and you sound like an undereducated 11 year old who just got done playing dessert strom 2 for the third time.
 
well if you know where they are the whole country is behind you , we will go with you so will the USA and most of the world , so go for it just tell us where to go
 
Because you don't have the manpower or logistics or finance's for that matter to pull it off, and incase you haven't noticed, most people in Pakistan are totally against Britain's little incursion's into Iraq and Afghanistan and so would be extremly pissed off at Britain invading their country as well, the amout of British soldiers that would be killed would be staggering and the military couldn't hold out.
 
Tell you what TC, me and you will go and sort it out, ok? I will pay for flights, you bring the weapons, and Gordon Brown can provide the spunk

its simple, we are too tolerant we are waiting on the terrorists seeing the error of their ways and giving up!
 
Several reasons
Al Qaeda hasn't attacked the UK, its been other affiliated organisations. However we are probably actively searching for them although quietly.

We have 2 major conflicts already been dealt with, and the fact we can barely field 4 divisions with the commitments we have we are already stretched.

Lastly funding if you've not noticed there's a problem with money which is why the present government has been downsizing the armed forces since it came to power, while I would agree that Brit forces are probably the best in the world man for man, the fact we have more admirals now than ships says it all. when it comes to extending military forces the days of the Falklands war are past and we couldn't project that amount that far again.
 
i believe you and the marines of U.S. could do it but then there wouldnt be a war and therewoudn't be money coming in where do you think the rich make their money thorugh wars and its meaning alot to them. yes we could take butt and put names to it and end it we could aslo stop the terrorism if we wanted to which i wish we would i would be th ankful to all that does that i would march on and get them.
 
The trouble is that for every raving nutter in Pakistan, there are a thousand normal people who are just getting on with their lives.

If we go in all gung ho killing the innocents; we'll alienate everyone and the whole of Pakistan will be against us.
