Harleys are engineered for the lowest common denominator, and are some of the easiest bikes in the world to ride. At 5'6", you ought to be able to ride any Harley made about as well as it can be ridden.

A problem that is often overlooked with hard-starting big singles is tight valve clearances. Check them and adjust if necessary. Drain the float bowl to get rid of accumulated condensation. Fresh fuel and a fresh plug. And yes, do clean the air filter.

Ninja. The rebel is a cruiser, and "friends don't let friends ride cruisers". Why? because a cruiser makes you look like a dork, while the feet-forward riding position puts you at a disadvantage for control of the bike, and is harder on your spine, arms and upper body, good for short trips only.
