You ever seen the speed dial indicators on the 96 Intrepid go haywire? It tells me how fast it's going but also jumps all over the place and at times if you put the heat on or headlights it will cause the flickering to start up.Any advice and input would greatly be appreciated thanks.

Basically that relay should have a constant positive 12 volts at one of it's socket connections , also the ignition should make another socket connection live too,also there is if I recall right a ground connection that goes to one of the socket connections.So if you pop out the relay and check...

Sounds like if you literally didn't rip out the lighter assembly etc that you simply blew a fuse , check the fuse box cover look for a fuse mentioning door locks etc. Hope that helps and best of luck.

If you mean the positive 12 volt feed wire that becomes live once you place the vehicles gear shifter into reverse that wire is at the back of the vehicle and runs to the back up lights , so trace the wiring and you'll find it. Hope that helps and best of luck.
