it's in need of a? catalytic converter. Now, here comes the confusion, i call several automotive repair shops, they give estimates for parts and labor... right up until i gave them my mileage... all repair shops -said and i quote They can't touch it because" your car is under federal warranty, (epa)up until 80,000 miles" take your car to chrysler dealer, they have to repair it for free"! I call a chrysler dealer, they are still trying to charge me for parts and labor.. need some answers (help) E.P.A stands for ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY...I called and got so many different numbers to call its frustrating.. please help....

I'd call Chrysler head office and ask to speak to a customer service rep if they give you a hard time demand to talk to their supervisor and tell them by law it's their responsibility to fix it or otherwise you're going to sue them , tell all your friends that want to buy their products or own their products how their treating you and protest their dealerships etc. Also don't give up call them several times a day and if you could get a lawyer to call on your behave that might help or literally stand across the street from a dealership with protesting signs.I'am sure that if you keep calling them etc that you'll get results just don't give up.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way if you could get someone from that Government agency to call them that help too, plus insist on speaking to Chrysler's regional service manager etc.
