Has anyone else been to see this? I didn't see the BBC version in the 80's so can't compare the two but thought this was a really good film. Mel Gibson gives a really strong performance. I forgot how good a serious actor he is.

Yes, an Almodovar's movie. Penelope is quite good in it. Very believable. Be aware that it is in Spanish with subtitles in English but don't let that put you off... I recommend it.

I don't know if it was a film or a series, but basically it was about a guy who gained power from the sun, but if he got too much sunlight it would harm him. He had to wear special sunglasses. Anybody any ideas about what it was called?

I enjoyed it. But it felt to me to be more like just stitching together some excellent set pieces. Very very good set pieces, but for some reason it felt empty and lacking in other areas. Great ideas too, but as a story it didn't feel to have that much depth. Like I say, excellent set pieces...

I saw this last night, wasn;t the worst film i've ever seen but far from the best i;ve seen. Seemed to be an awful lot like i-robot and gamer (i didn't like gamer but loved i robot). But i'd say its worth a watch
