Cineworld cinema pass

Have been thinking for a while about getting one of these, as I dont go to the cinema as much as I used to and I'm hoping that by having one, it will encourage us to go to the cinema a lot more

Are they worth getting and do they encourage you to go there more than you normally would?

They're well worth it if you go more than twice a month. When I first got mine, I ended up going a lot more, but recently I haven't really been using it as much... I suppose the novelty has worn off...

I usually go at least once a week...I've had my card since Jan 1st and before that I hardly ever went. Now, I see any film which even remotley interests me (and some which don't) - at the end of the day, if you and ur partner both have one, it's a cheap night out. I reckon that since Jan 1st, if you calculate how much money I would have spent on cinema tickets if I had actually paid for each one, I have already gone over how much the pass has cost me.

My friend and I both have one and we go to the flicks every week. But then we used to do that before we got 'em anyway! I've gotta admit, having one does encourage you to watch any old tosh!

I would definitely get one though, they're pretty handy but only if you're a big cinema-goer.

Thanks for all your replies!

I think the last time we went to the cinema was to see Jackass 2!! We used to go a bit more back then because my brother worked there and could get us in as a guest, but they changed the rules - boooo

I suppose I would see it as a gym membership as such, I have to go because otherwise I'm paying out for something I'm not using (although its not as much!!) I begrudge paying out

Yeah that is true as you will go and see any film because the cost doesnt matter. I have had my Unlimited card for 4 years now and I have must have saved so much money over the years. I would recommend the Unlimited card to anyone and I am suprised no other cinemas have them!

I'm thinking about getting one as well, but i'm wondering how does it work with pre-booking tickets?

For example, if i wanted to pre-book tickets for Die Hard 4.0, is there an option for Unlimited Card holders to book the tickets without having to pay again, or do you have to pay separately for pre-bookings?

You can't pre-book with the Unlimited Card, I'm afraid - used to be able to when it was the UGC via a special phone line, but Cineworld have done away with that option.

You have to get Unlimited tickets the same day, so if you get a chance you can go in during the morning to get a ticket for a showing that evening. However, they sometimes insist on seeing all the Unlimited ticketholders in the party in person at the time of booking the tickets...

I've had mine for about 6 years now and I love it, its definitely worth it if you love films and even if you only like them it'll make you wanna go more.... well it did me.

It's a shame you can't sign up at Ashford but it's worth going over to Rochester to fill in the forms. You only have to go there the one time and then you're sorted!
