its possible to add HS@H online without having a HS@H phone. if u log into ur account online, click on the picture of ur phone in the top right hand corner, then click on "this is not my phone" and change it to one of the HS@H phones, then you can go to ur plan services and add that service...

yea, there is no way to get free messanging with it other than the boost platinum....there are ways to activate the messanging menu, but not to get messages for free....
