    Christian Jesus Metal

well i'm sure hardcore christian fundamentalists enjoy the argument as much as you enjoy hearing them tell you you're going to hell for listening to metal. i'm gonna go listen to some sabbath now.

    Memories

I have this phobia that I'll be playing Born To Run and get pulled over for playing the stereo too loud. I'm not concerned about the ticket so much as the album being ruined for me. ;) I agree with that, but sometimes the bad memories are just so unpleasant and they're so strongly...

    Top 5 Of Anything (Musically)

Awful good as the assumption game aren't you? Electronica isn't ****e pal, and it's not all I like.

    Greatest Bassists

Motown producer Norman Whitfield preferred him over Jamerson. (the man was obviously tone deaf.) ;) Favourite Babbitt contribution...'War' by Edwin Starr.

Last album you bought or downloaded

Muz - Banana In Portuguese (1999) Crazy-cool experimental French dub music that wouldn't be out of place at an H.R. Giger bar; it manages to be complex, spacey and infectious all at once. Lemuria - S/T (1978) A one-shot lightning-sharp R&B/soul/funk album from the shores of good ol' Hawaii...

Last album you bought or downloaded

Last one I downloaded was Mastodon's "Crack the Skye". I tried to post the album cover but I have to make 15 posts first, heh. Anyway, the album is awesome. I downloaded it, but I will buy it when it's released.

What Are You Listening To Right Now? II

This is very true. I love Revelations and The Trooper, i dont think theres a single bad track on that album actually. But there are alot of tracks that get overlooked. Personally I love Die With Your Boots On.

"Mobile Suit Gundam 00" on Sci Fi's Ani-Monday Series Talkback (Spoilers)

Ali is likeable in that he's completely unlikeable. Compare that with Nena, where people really liked her cute-but-clearly-nuts demeanor until she did something REALLY psycho. Ali is a bad guy through and through, and he's loud and proud about it as well. It was even better when the Japanese...

    Albums You're Digging II

I bought this just out of curiosity (any hip hop album art that has a guitar on it is good) and yeah I am really digging it too. Has a really nice vibe to it, some interesting beats and sounRAB.

Music Banter Hall Of Fame: Nominations Thread

People are going to defend banRAB that they feel should be in, so you can't fault them for that... not all of us have the level-headedness of Urban. I'd bet you would call people out if Pink Floyd was in danger of not making it. Also, people are way too image conscious when it comes to NMH.

I`m a huge Tommy Shaw fan but the Damn Yankees were awful.

What genre of music is this?

The Edge is the best thing about U2 even though he is still a crap guitarist. He just relies too much on good guitar sounRAB rather than good riRAB

    Tunng - Good Arrows

The best album of 2007, thus far. Melancholic, almost dreamlike vocals and surreal lyrics float in and out of soft downbeats, acoustic guitars, and airy melodies. I highly recommend this to everyone. Standout tracks include the opener, 'Take', the eerie yet catchy 'Bullets', the crescendoing...

Which Band Has The Most Annoying Fans?

maybe i hang out with friendly metalheaRAB...my brother is in a deathmetal band and whenever i party with his frienRAB i make it a point to mention how i am definitely not nearly as into metal as them...they generally leave me alone about it. though they don't really annoy me, that doesn't...

How do the record business work

Pretty much this. Which explains the abundance of terribly made pop music - it's cheap to produce, yet brings in lots of revenue from topping the charts and being played at clubs and whatnot.

    Bad Albums by Good Bands

I think I'll have to go for Foo Fighters here. I was a big fan right up until In Your Honor. They'd never been a particularly adventurous band but this was the big turning point in my eyes... this was the beginning of that middle-of-the-road sound that they've stuck with. I'm not saying that...
