Are you for a Constitutional Amendment banning burning the flag?

I thank your brother for his service........May he always be with God.......He also gave his life defending the very flag that some want to burn......Maybe he fought the war blindly but a lot of us Vietnam Vets did not.......I agree with you about how the war was fought though..........We won...

    Jennifer Jones Dies Ages 90

Jennifer was so talented and beautiful. The Song of Bernadette is my dad's favourite film and I know he'll be very sad to hear of her passing. If any RABers haven't heard of her I urge you to check out some of her work - she was captivating. Rest in Peace Jennifer.

    Directors' "Catch-Phrases"

Not really a trademark as such - more a recurring motif - but there's an alarming number of scenes set in toilets/washrooms in Stanley Kubrick's ouvre.

Zoe Saldana - best actress for Avatar????? really?

Are they though? My argument against recognising CG/ mo-cap/ greenscreen performances in awarRAB is that you don't know where the human element enRAB and the technological tweaking begins. Maybe all the body and facial movements are her own, but if Cameron thought her eyes weren't sad enough, or...

    Arlington Road

The idea is scary enough, because the films shows that if you are white, middle class, and have the will, you can do the same sort of horrific things as 'those turban-wearing lot" from across the seas. It turns the common perception of a terrorist on its head, and places it in the suburbs, to...

    CGI has ruined movies-discuss...

The dragon in Dragonslayer is fantastic, and it's done with stop-motion animation. I think one of the things about that sort of old fashioned way is that they kept shots of the monster down to the minimum, because it was difficult to do, so a lot is left to your imagination. With cgi being...
