After a pretty dire first 45-60 minutes, it somewhat redeemed itself in the latter half. Probably a good film...but not great. Nowhere near. And I am unable to recognize the reasons it is getting such amazing reviews. Nor can I fathom why it's repeatedly classed as "complex" and "deep"...

Same here - let's hope it's a temporary glitch (I only just got my ratio up to a decent figure after having let it slide whilst in a country with crappy bandwidth)

There is nothing bollywood about this film. It's an extremely gritty movie. Saw the trailer for it on TV yesterday. Although it includes scenes from the movie it in no way portrays what the movie is really like.

My OH said exactly the same thing as you when he saw the trailer...but I dragged him along to it...:D...and he loved it! And there were real actors in it. Thought I wanted to be one of the Na'Vi. :D

I agree if it's some obscure film but when it's not? foe example the Disappearance of Alice Creed. That didn't get shown at my local Cineworld, but did at other branches, Yet Alice in Wonderland was still getting shown to virtually empty rooms as the bulk of it's custom was done at that branch...
