the alt will charge it just fine, but look at the battery rating, the CCA's. just because the size of the battery is bigger doesn't mean its more powerfull.

well i have a 1999 with the 318. fuel pump and filter is one assembly IN THE TANK. its a pain to replace, but it sounds like you may have a weak pump or plugged filter, also when was the last time you changed your O2 sensor? mine only has one just behind the converter and isn't bad to get to at...
The only way to find out if you have a special key is thru the dealer. And they are the only ones who can make that key. What you need to do is call the parts dept at the dealer and give them your VIN and ask them to look it up. That will tell you for sure. And yes the key and programing it...

seriously doubt it. the ECM not only controls the fuel injection but also controls the transmission shift points, overdrive, and all the emission controls like egr and o2 sensors.
