Haven't seen the film (and judging by most of the comments here I don't think I will either!) so couldn't comment on that, but in the books the Restaurant was definitely on Magrathea and Marvin was definitely left behind and ended up as a spaceport attendant.

If James Bond isn't white and British it might as well just be any other generic Hollywood spy movie. What would be the point? Bond is iconic as a white man. Changing hair colour is one thing (which happens all the time on the big and small screen). Changing race is quite another.

Your post very nearly put off going to see this movie :eek: A long film with a slow moving storyline. However, I'm glad I went to see it. Excellent performance from Michael Douglas plus a very competent performance from Shia Labeouf :)
