The exhaust system should have a collector that joins the headers coming from the engine, then splits into 2 again for the exhausts. Having different exhausts on each side should make no difference to the running of the bike. When cold starting and the air is cold, my VTR also appears to "smoke"...
Thats the crankcase ventilation system. The vapours from the crankcase are sucked into the carby to be burnt. It sounds like the oil hasn't been changed for a while and thats why you are getting the drips inside the aircleaner housing. Its no big deal.
The car sounds like a good buy, if it runs...
Bit of a guess but it sounds like you have a small leak in the head gasket and coolant is being drawn into the combustion chambers.
Keep a very close eye on your oil, coolant and coolant level.
If the oil starts to turn milky, get it fixed straight away

Ummmm...Suzuki?
You could probably get the alternator rewound and use a rectifier from a similar more modern bike.
Love the old 850G's.Used to own one but the handling was somewhat ordinary
Sounds like your regulator/rectifier is about to die.
Crazy speedo readings and other weird electrical happenings is a good symptom. Get it checked ASAP as when it fails completely,it can do some real damage to your electrical system.(such as fry your ECU and kill your battery)
The brake light...
Main beam, full beam and high beam are all the same thing.
To avoid confusion, just call it main beam, the same as the test.
I don't know what drugs your driving instructor is on, but there are no numbers to do with your headlights.
Your dad is correct. There is a little blue light that comes on...
