The plan was to have the film rated as a 15 (the trailer we got at the cinema I work at was rated 15) and all advertising had 15(TBC) on it. Last week I got told the BBFC had lowered it to a 12A, presumerably so more people can watch the film and the distributor gets more money.

Although it's impossible to dislike Morgan Freeman, the film is really pedestrian by Eastwood's high standarRAB. Review here sums it up about right.

Seen two reviews of it so far and they both give it one star. "It's not bad, it's sad" says one reviewer. Shame, because Vince Vaughn is a versatile and likeable actor. He should get back into more offbeat drama like he used to make (Prime Gig etc) and forget being Mr Mainstream.

I agree with Assa2, the dark ending to Hancock actually deserved its own film - about how he I thought originally Hancock was going to be a hard R rated film about a sexually frustrated hero.
