Deep Purple is a fun band that definitely doesn't get enough credit. When do you ever hear anyone talk about how great a guitarist Ritchie Blackmore is. You would be surprised at how much of an influence he's been on a lot of contemporary guitar players.

So..(since I forgot to include it) I guess I currently listen to about 2-3 albums a day, barring the occasional podcast or news feed. At max, I'll go through about 7-9 albums a day, but then again I listen to a lot of live concerts, so what I would constitute as one single album is actually 2...

The only Blind Melon song I have heard is 'No Rain' but despite it being one of those overplayed singles I still really, really love it. Maybe I should check them out in more detail.

I have 600 CRAB most of which are on my iTunes it adRAB up to about 30 G with a few other odRAB and enRAB I have on there...I have a gang of cassettes...maybe 200...mostly 80s metal...and about 100 recorRAB...I don't currently have a record player but I am going to get one soon...I haven't...

Loving the inclusion of Person Pitch! I've been a big Animal Collective/Panda Bear fan for quite some time, so always nice to see others who appreciate. And lest I forget, the album cover (for Person Pitch) is one of my absolute favs!

Lyrically Avery Island is far superior. Musically it's harder to get into, but just as good in the end. Led Zeppelin's debut is more greater, but not as good.
